So much fun stuff happens in our classrooms every day! Everyday children are guided through exploration and learning activities, they are provided with healthy meals and snacks and they are encouraged to learn through play.  LCECP is seeking a caring person, who is passionate about education, for an Assistant Teacher position. 
 
Position Summary: 
 
Our Assistant Teachers are an important part of the classroom team at LCECP, by supporting all the fun, learning and growing that happens in the classroom. We are looking for someone who likes being part of a team and making a difference in children’s lives. We are looking for a caring person, who enjoys a fast-paced job.
 
The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for: 
·         Greeting children and families with a smile and a positive attitude
·         Assist with preparing activities and lesson plans
·         Conduct health checks and delivery of health curriculums 
·         Assist with potty training, which can include diaper changing

Education Requirement: 
 
·         CDA or Associate degree in Child Development or related 
·         Experience working with children and families in early childhood settings. 
·         Must be willing to get further education as needed/required to acquire or maintain skills. 
 
Wage: $16.04 to $16.84 per hour (based on experience and education)
Hours: 40 hrs. a week/ 52 weeks a year – 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (with 1 hr. lunch) 
This positions it eligible for medical and dental benefits after 90 days.
